We moved last week, and I've been freelancing crazy hours, and everything is busy, busy, busy (of course it all hits at once)
Sorry things have been so light on here lately; but if you're looking for some eye candy, check out our tumblr. It doesn't have much to do with L&S; it's just a daily dose of photos (taken by yours truly):
We'll be back up an running soon, and we're working on some new designs that will be around in March!

Old Letter
We're moving this weekend and I found a store near our new house that has drawers full of old paper ephemera. I bought this letter (even though I don't need to add anything to my collections) and I want to frame it; I am smitten with the beautiful hand written calligraphy, even though I can't read it. Does anyone read french?

Hawks in Jackson Heights
Look who was outside our window this morning!
I had to wake up early today, and was very excited to see a hawk twelve feet from our window chomping on (what used to be) a pigeon. He hung out for a while while we took pictures, but then looked warily at us, and as soon as the cats saw him and started chirping (yes, they do that) he took his meal and flew down the road. Which was a good thing, because I needed to stop staring and get ready for work. Hopefully he'll be here to stay--there's certainly a large enough food supply!

Materials: Stones
oooh! Look at the new stones Lock got us! I believe this a not so subtle hint that I need to learn how to solder properly and make bezels? I am so in love with the iron pyrite cabochons...and the stone up top is an opal!!!

Encased in Ice
I am fascinated by the ice covering every available surface. The trees are so beautiful, but I still have no desire to go back outside! Mason doesn't like the weather; he slipped and fell while walking down the street. It was adorably pitiful, but now he's warm, sleeping by the space heater. The cats are also fighting for my lap.
